Samil Reynoso aka NYC Mother
Born and raised in Philadelphia to Dominican born parents, Samil would have never imagined her world would parallel end and start simultaneously. Moving to New York, Samil refused to be raised by the streets. Seeing the effects of “lost souls” in the street with her own eyes, Samil knew she wanted to serve the community.
Appointed by Pioneer Junior LaBeija to NYC Mother in 2019; Samil has an intense passion for pushing people towards their goals. She is such a motivator and wants the house kids and the Ballroom Community to achieve inside (winning balls for their category) and outside (what they aspire to be) success. She keeps the NYC chapter on track by assisting the kids with personal development; from resume building to addiction counseling. Samil has won multiple awards for her category - Sex Siren and Body. She was recently recognized as Ms. Body of the Year 2020 at the Legendary Iconic Alpha & Omega Ball. She has certifications as a Personal Trainer and as a Life Coach. Fitness, health & wellness have become her focus.
Samil also serves as the main mediator between the millennials and elders; which has become crucial for the survival of the house.
